Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This aligns with our obligations and goals under the Accessible Canada Act, British Columbia’s Accessible British Columbia Act, and the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to websites in the United States.
Measures on this site
- Semantic HTML landmarks, a skip-to-content link, and a logical heading structure on every page;
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements with visible focus states;
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and ARIA labels on icon-only controls;
- Colour choices checked for contrast, and information never conveyed by colour alone;
- Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting; - Responsive layouts that support zoom up to 400% without loss of content.
Known limitations
This Site is under active development. Some decorative animations and embedded third-party content may not yet meet every success criterion. We review accessibility with each release.
